Sakthi estates was founded in that designated year 1960 by dr. N. Mahalingam in a sprawling 729. 6 acres of estate land enveloped by lush jungle trees and reserve forests of the anamallais tiger reserve. The estate can be found at thalanar valley of the anamallais hills in the western ghats at a distance of 104 kms from coimbatore and at a height of 3500 feet above sea level. Set in a picture perfect mountain locale it cherishes the abundance of forest wealth with 80 acres of forest cover enchantingly clustered with silver oak, Eucalyptus, Jack, Athi, Red ceder, Cyprus, E. Grandis, Alunus and other jungle trees. Coffee varieties like arabica coffee and mild coffee are cultivated in 450 acres of the estate land. It features a maximum crop harvest of 400 tons of coffee cultivation and a baseline of 75 tons. Tea planting, Which was commenced in the year 1985, Has tea cultivation in 200 acres of land to the tune of 515000 kilos of annual green tea production. Tea plucking in the estate is executed using imported mechanized harvesters. Cardamom planting was started in the year 1976. Cardamom varieties like mysore, Malabar, Vazhukka and nallanji are grown in 35 acres of prolific estate land. Lead by sri a.
