Tin bronzes are also called as phosphor bronzes owing to the presence of small amount 0. 01 0. 5% of phosphorous used as deoxidizer in casting. The wrought alloys usually contain 1 10% tin. Copper containing up to about 6% tin are soft alloys whereas those containing more than 6% tin are hard.
