Bearing pads for bridge structures consist of a single or multiple internal layers of elastomer bonded to internal steel laminates shall be cast as single unit in a mould and vulcanised under heat & pressure to cater for translation or spinning of the super structure by elastic deformation. The raw elastomer used in bearings are poly, Chloroprene, Either of brands skyprene b, Neoprene wrt 5,, Bayprene 110& denka s, 40v with the aim of have low crystallization rate and adequate shelf life. The content of the poly chloreprene in the bearing is at a minimum of 60% and the ash content shall be less than 5%.
