Vanstone thermowells serve the purpose of high pressure application where welding is to function as avoided. This design is suitable both for thermocouples & rtd s. Vanstone thermowell isolates and protects a temperature instrument s sensing element high velocity, From pressurized and corrosive media. They ensure longer life and accurate measurement while allowing the sensing instrument to be removed without shutting down the process. Vanstone thermowell is machined from solid bar stock and mounting b/w mating flanges for process insertion. During installation a gasket is inserted between the process flange and the vanstone flange to maintain pressure seal. A top flange is then placed over the vanstone thermowell and bolted to the process flange using the correct bolting torque forces.
