The Laxmi Soap Factory was founded in 1958. For the Ranglani family, however, the history of soap production dates back to 1910. When Sheth Thakurdas Ranglani first established a soap making company, he was situated in Karachi. Thakurdas moved to India following the split and established a manufacturing facility there in 1948. After putting up a lot of effort, Sheth Thakurdas searched for a suitable location in Pune and established the Laxmi Soap Factory in 1959. Despite Sheth Thakurdas's death in 1981, the business is still thriving. They had to launch a product that would speak for itself in order to make a name for themselves in the cutthroat local market.
