In 1986, Multispan Control Instruments Private Limited started out small, renting a 1200 square foot facility. This manufacturer and supplier business was founded on the idea of providing affordable and easy-to-use panel mounted temperature controllers for extrusion, injection molding, and other Indian makers of plastic processing equipment. In addition to temperature controllers, the company added digital timers and counters to control panels between 1990 and 1995 as part of its product line expansion. The company's R&D efforts resulted in the conversion of over 50 products from solid-state based technology to micro-controller based architecture between 1995 and 2000. The business setup took up about 3500 square feet.
