Puri Nursing Home

Puri nursing home started in 1994 as a nursing home with 7 beds and facilities for general surgery and obstetrics & gynaecology. We started doing general surgical procedures like surgery for piles and surgery for appendix removal. In 1995 we started laparoscopic surgery for gall bladder stones. For this we imported machinery from karl storz germanyWe identify as regularly doing laparoscopic surgery for gall bladder, Appendix, Removal of, Ovary removal uterus and, Some hernias some tubal surgeries. Dr. Harpeet kaur was working in krishna charitable maternity hospital from 1993 onwards and later became head of deptt. Of obs. & gynaecology. Krishna hospital was a 250 bedded multispeciality hospital. In 2001 dr. Harpreet kaur left krishna hospital and started full time practice in puri nursing home. Meanwhile a persistent need of a full time pediatrician was felt so we appointed dr. Vaneet arora, A post graduate from d. M. C ludhiana in its entirety time consultant in pediatrics in 2003. We added the new o. P. D wing belonging to the medical facility where consultants could see out door patients comfortably. Now puri nursing home had been upgraded to 35 indoor beds and newer specialties like general medicine, Dental and orthopedic specialties were added. These days lots of overseas patients are coming for gynecological surgeries like removal of uterus, Removal of fibroids and other ovary related surgeries. With a vastly experienced team these processes have been completed routinely. There are general wards for poor patients and there are private rooms for patients who wants there privacy. Also the hospital has some air conditioned rooms as summers can be hot sometimes. The hospital has in house facility for routine tests as x rays, Ultrasound, C, Arm surgeries for orthopedics/urology and laboratory offerings include also provided the hospital has a govt. Approved drug store as well as various kinds of medicines are freely available. The hospital has a general o. P. D in the morning for poor patients and private o. P. D in the evening. Patients from far and wide come to attend and avail services at subsidized rates in the morning. In the evening private patients can come and discuss there problems freely as less rush is there. The hospital has trained staff to run the indoor facilities and They can be accessed twenty-four hours a day
